Past, Present, Future Tarot Spread: Use Time Without Treating It as Fate
Past–present–future is useful for tracing momentum. The final card describes a direction under current conditions, not a future that cannot be changed.
Make the past card specific
Ask what past influence is active now rather than trying to summarize your whole history. The present card should name the live condition. The future card then becomes a likely development if the current pattern continues.
Give the future card a condition
End by asking what could reinforce or alter that direction. This keeps the spread from becoming a verdict and turns it into a map of momentum.
Schedule the reread
Note the date, the behavior you expect to observe, and the information that would change your view. Returning later turns the spread into a record of learning rather than a forgotten prediction.
